Privacy

KARMA DIGITAL S.A.S. ("Karma Digital", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. AudioTap is designed to keep your data on your machine. This page explains what we collect, what we do not, and the few network calls the app makes.

What stays on your Mac

Audio recordings, transcripts, diarization output, and your Whisper and speaker models all live in your local file system, in the folder you choose. We have no access to them. We never upload them. There is no cloud transcription service behind AudioTap.

What leaves your Mac

The app makes two network requests during normal use:

• License validation. On first activation, AudioTap sends your transaction ID to Paddle to confirm the purchase. Paddle is the merchant of record. Their privacy policy is at paddle.com/legal/privacy. The license is then cached in the macOS Keychain and the app works offline.
• Update check. AudioTap periodically asks releases.audiotap.app for an update manifest, served by Cloudflare R2. The request reveals your IP address and the current app version to Cloudflare. No identifier is attached. Sparkle, the framework we use, is open source.

There is no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporter, no usage tracker. If we ever add one, it will be opt-in and announced here first.

This website

The marketing site you are reading is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL) for operational security. We do not place analytics cookies. If we add basic visitor counts, we will use a cookieless option.

The buy button loads Paddle's checkout script from cdn.paddle.com when you click it. Paddle handles the payment flow and may set its own cookies for fraud prevention.

Email

If you write to support@audiotap.app, we keep that correspondence so we can answer you. We do not add it to a marketing list.

Your rights

You can request a copy of any data tied to you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@audiotap.app and we will respond within 30 days. Where Paddle holds the data (purchase records, refunds), we will route the request to them.

AudioTap is built by Karma Digital, based in Uruguay. The data controller for this site and app is KARMA DIGITAL S.A.S.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date above and note the change in the changelog.
